Educational Objectives

Foster talented individuals skilled in technological practices and theoretical knowledge of medical engineering.
Nurture experts able to perform technological convergence and coordinate different disciplines.
Cultivate world-class biomedical engineers to identify demands for clinical medicine and develop new technologies.

Educational Competencies

Core Competencies

1. Basic Sciences (40%):
   Basic Sciences Education in physics, chemistry and biology, which are the foundation of the biomedical engineering field.
2. Biomedical Engineering Fundamentals (30%):
   Fundamental education based on the basic science necessary for the principles and application of biomedical engineering.
3. Biomedical Engineering Application (30%):
   Teaching of practical application principles in the medical engineering field, which is strongly dependent on complex convergence technology.

Selective Competencies

1. Microtechnology :
   Using Micro technology to learn the principles of Biomedical instruments, and to put them into practice
2. Nano-Technology :
   Using Nano technology to learn the principles of Biomedical instruments, and to put them into practice
3. Medical Optics :
   Learning the principles of medical optical instruments, and putting them into practice
4. Biomaterial :
   Learning the principles of the types of biomaterial and their interactions with human physiology, and putting these principles into practice
5. Electronics for biomedical applications :
   Learning the principles of electronics, and putting them into practice
6. Medical Imaging :
   Learning the principles of medical imaging, and putting them into practice
7. Structural Engineering :
   Learning the biological principles of structure regeneration, and putting them into practice
